WHAT IT DOES: Muzzle brakes function by utilizing a series of vents that redirect expelled gases when fired. Instead of allowing the gases to push the barrel straight back, a muzzle brake channels the gas outward. This redirection of gases helps to counteract the recoil force approximately 30% to 50%, depending on the design and installation.
Tri-Delta Instructions:
- Slide the crush washer onto the barrel threads with the smaller diameter facing the barrel.
- Thread the brake onto the threads hand tight (thread locker has been pre-applied)
- Using a wrench, turn the brake ¼ to ½ turn further PLUS enough to align the flat surface with the triangle opening facing up.
